There's something really special about the winter solstice in my world. This night, 5 years ago, I was hitching a ride on a snow cat, heading to the top of Snowmass mountain where, to my surprise, my favorite man planned our proposal. Little did he (or I) know it was going to be blowing and snowing like crazy at the top. I couldn't see or hear a word he was saying, so he settled on asking me in the ski patrol hut next to a sparse Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It was beautiful, thoughtful and perfect in every way. My favorite time of year, a place where I feel totally at peace with myself, and a blizzard to boot! How'd I get so lucky? Skiing down together engaged with the brilliant expansiveness of a quiet ski area lite by moonlight was pure magic! Here's to continuing to create our dreams, separate and together.
